owen is. a mystery. but who isn't on her list of friends it seems? at least, of the older friends. candy's pretty fond of her new friends, even if she still needs to get to know a lot of them, and owen is no exception. hence when she hears him in a dangerous situation she panics that she's going to lose one of the few connections she really has in life before she even gets to know him and makes him promise to be careful. and of course, he does. right as he learns his future isn't so great.
