Right, so the job didn't work out.
The position in question was going to be a call center operator to help diabetics use a blood sugar tester. This would have been good because it would pay 4x's as much as my current job, and would have earned me 3 credits for my minor. Everybody seemed to like me, except for the person that was going to be my direct superior. She asked what I could bring to the position, and I told her that I have previous call center experience, and my dad's a diabetic so I know exactly what situation these customers would be in.
Then she asked me what else I could bring to the position... I told her that I'm a good people person, and I'm good at talking people through a difficult situation... Then she asked what else I could bring to the situation, because this "wasn't quite enough", that "it didn't have the flair she was looking for". I tried adding a little more about the fact that I know how serious things can get, but she said she had a phone call and passed me off to another supervisor.
I went through everything they said, and it all seemed to be fine. I was told to wait for a phone call from California, which would be another interview (which went well). Didn't hear anything until I called them, and was told that the first woman "didn't think I was a good fit". Told him what happened with her, and he was a little confused by it too.
My current dilemma is that I have to find two internships in order to graduate in the spring... Was also counting on the increased pay, which would have been nice... ::shakes fist:: out! out! demons of stupidity!
