Health Update: Feeling a lot better today. Got inflammation in the knees and *cough* face a little, but otherwise good. On the mend. Again.
Things I like about Parks and Rec: (no particular order, incomplete, and I am not even sure what season these things are from...I just randomly started writing this while I should have been doing something else.)
- Leslie always taking responsibility for anything that goes wrong. Like someone shooting Ron in the back of the head or breaking the coffee machine. She takes one for the team so many times Ron is all, "No you didn't, Leslie. Who else did this?!"
- Leslie's love of sugar, whip cream, and waffles. The insanely good brownies. Stealing the coffee Ann meant for someone else and then saying, "More sugar next time, Ann."
- Bert Macklan. FBI.
- Ann and Leslie having a fight while wasted on "Snake Juice". Ron drunk in general. Miss Snakehole and Bert Macklan, FBI. Donna tying Jerry to the roof of the car as she designated drivers everyone home. Ann chasing the straw around.
- Tammy One and Tammy Two.
- Ron and Leslie bonding over their love of breakfast food.
- Lil Sebastian.
- Ann being just as messed up as everyone else. Wearing snow pants when drunk. Going to a job interview hung over with her sweater on inside out and backwards and asking very nicely if she could step out in order to puke in the waste bin.
- Ron and Leslie are the parents!
- "We need to remember what is important in life. Friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. The order really doesn't matter. But work is third." - Leslie
- Tom's happy face.
- Leslie making a room of balloons for Ann's first day.
- Leslie's stories.
- Leslie's presents in general. Especially to Ann.
- DJ Roomba, tearing it up!
- April not thinking there was a March 31.
- Ron's 360 desk.
I watched Moff's latest Sherlock.
I liked parts of it. It was appropriately witty. I like Mycroft. This
photoset I made probably describes my true feelings better.
Surprisingly I did not care for Adler like I usually do. It wasn't the actress. She just doesn't do anything in this. They say a lot about her but she does very little. Their relationship in general didn't click. Or maybe I am just spoiled by Luther and Alice who I pictured as a modern Sherlock and Adler relationship. Imperfect translation, but it at least smolders. And I am more than done with the "humor" around the poor pathologist having a crush on Sherlock. I'm not a big fan of painful teasing. I think the episode in general spent too much time in Sherlock Land when it really should be more of Watson's POV. I think what made episode one click with me so much was Watson's POV and we haven't gotten back to that. Next week should be almost all of his POV. So things should improve by default.
I started watching Eureka. It is cute so far and cute it what I need. Trying to manage my stress levels since they are connected to my disease so closely and light tv seems to help a lot. Could do without teenagers and children. I asked the Syfy watching coworker about this and he says they do it to humanize the adults. What, am I not human now?
