Another of the 12 Labors in drabble form. This one inspired by the Gold Apple prompt "forge."
"How does he keep it so hot?" exclaimed Iolaus, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Well, Hephaestus has to set an example for all you mortal smiths!" said Hercules.
"He is a great role model, that's for sure! But, let's get the cymbals and get out of his forge before our hair is on fire!" Iolaus laughed.
"You're the one who suggested we ask him for noise-makers," said Hercules. "Are you sure they'll work?"
"Oh, yeah," said Iolaus. "If we can scare the Stymphalian birds from their rookery, we can easily catch them. It's an …"
"Old hunter's trick!" Hercules completed the sentence.
