Yup, still pregnant. Starting to get annoyed about it, and used to it at the same time, which I find VERY disconcerting because I feel like I've been pregnant forever and I don't WANT to be pregnant forever... Was having some promising contractions on Sunday night and tried to get James to help a sista out (in the way that husbands help wives, if you know what I mean), but he didn't want to! Can you believe that crap?!? What's he want, wine, dinner, a movie?!? Asshole. His loss man, the timing would've been spectacular - my sister took Pants for her VERY first overnight (Pants' 1st, not Cathy's :) We did the birthday thing at Dad's (wonderful as usual), and Cath took Pants home from there, kept her, and even drove her back to my house the next afternoon! It was BLISSFUL. And also a little weird, but mostly blissful. God love my sister for that - the test-run was a complete success (she's taking Pants when I go into labor, so we did a test-run so it would go smoother when the time comes, which seems like never at the rate I'm continuing to be pregnant :) Cathy took a million pix of Pants, Chris, and Sam (Cathy's boys) playing together, and Pants looks delighted and utterly EXHAUSTED in every single one of them! She came home and totally took a 4-hour nap AND went to bed early. Awesome. Those boys musta' did some number on her. SO awesome.
As I'm slowly making a dent in all the To-Do's around here, I'm feeling mildly better about the Place I've been in lately (and obviously, Welbutrin and Lexapro don't hurt either :) James took my birthday off B&N, which we will probably spend rearranging the house for Charlie's home-coming (setting up beds, moving changing table downstairs, organizing baby clothes, getting swing & other accoutrements from Bung's etc.) and I'm okay with that. James goes out of town Thursday night and I either need to have this baby like immediately or hold the dang thing in there until he gets back (SO annoying - SO tired of being pregnant, I'm sure I've mentioned that :) I'm just shy of 38 weeks (so I know I have time), but already I can tell Charlie is bigger than Pants. I'm sure she's going to be taller since she's made entirely of legs (and feet in ribcages like all the time), but her body just seems bigger in there - I keep asking her if she's going to give me any trouble come time to labor, but she ain't talkin'. She's head (WAAAAY) down, so she's at least THAT much more agreeable than her sister... :) We'll see what happens. Back to my late-night veg-fest. xoxox
