Ahhh, what can I say about this weekend... ups and downs I guess.

Friday my sister called me bawling that she had just gotten home from taking Trouble to be put down. So yes, after a wonderful 15 years, I had to say goodbye to my baby. Well, sorta, since I'm all the way down here. It wasn't easy. I cried for hours upon hours. and hey, even have a few tears left now. He was so cute! I loved the way he stood on my shoes to drink out of the toilet... or the cute way he would beg for a fruit roll-up or peach or popsicle. I think more than anything, I'll miss the way he would wrap his hind feet around my waist and his front paws around my neck and bury his head against mine... purring the whole time. And from what Katie told me, he purred all the way until he passed. At least he was happy.

aw, there goes another one of those tears... :*(

So after that conversation, I got a migraine and couldn't even move. I had to shut the blinds, turn the tv off, and cover my head with the pillow in order to get an ounce of relief. I slept from 6:30 Friday night til 11:30 Saturday morning.

I wouldn't wish a migraine on even my worst enemy. (If I even have any of those.)

Okay, must move on.

Kristen and I found ourselves at yet another show on Saturday night. Then Celina invited us back for Kenny's birthday party. We kinda felt out of place at first since everyone already knew each other, but oh well. It was great to be able to mingle with a few new faces. Kristen seemed to have a great time, and I desperately needed a distraction from the sadness of the day before.

Then today I found out that a friend of mine got married. I'm not sure if it's the best thing for him, but what can I do at this point? If it makes him happy, then all I can do is be supportive. Hopefully things will work out for the best.

Meanwhile, I'm just trying to make it through the week.

It's the week before spring break so the kids are out of control. I will be doing the best that I can to keep a positive attitude about things and deal with them as they come. If I can make it through until Thursday night, I'll be in the clear. Then it's just some relaxation with the girls, then a workday on friday, then a flight back home. A much needed visit home... well, my second home anyway.

Big Big Party on Friday, right Miss Chicken!!!! :)

Hehe, and only 3 weeks until Mr. Lucca's release! I'm ready to hear some of his new material. At least to have a hard copy of it! :)
