Coffee culture shock...
... when discussing "cream" with the local non-starbucks barista in Thailand, don't assume that they meant dairy. Coffeemate = cream to many. And they'll make your coffee with it (even the "latte"). The fancier one might even top your cup with milk foam (or is it?) previously made and stored in a fridge.
