As much as this might seems pointless to many of you, I realize how useful it is to write it down. I went back and reread some of my old posts. Darn. Those were good times. This weekend's edition goes something like this...
FRI: just finishing my big exam the day before and having no plan for celebration, I, being my needy self, called up a few friends asking to hang out. Wanting to see Sandra Oh back in the day, I rented "Double Happiness"- a movie I've seen part of years ago- it was old enough that there's no DVD copy. And my tech-savvy friend already got rid of his VCR last year. Yeah. So we didn't watch it... just a few drinks, home-made board game, and Chinese food to close the night. Yum. Jeff can't stand the sight of squid (and hence he won't eat it). Christian and I didn't know that and we ordered a dish with some squid tentacles hanging out. Yeah. Not good. The boys asked if I am a bottom at one point.
SAT: I attended a local conference that I'd plan to give a talk. They ended up assigning me to a poster session, which I'm not ready for, so I didn't present anything. Catch a bus home, and forget that they're on an hourly run during the weekend. Having to wait an hour with nothing to do (and I just got coffee right before) I went to try a vietnamese restaurant in downtown Kirkland. Hmm. Nothing to write home about. Then meeting up with the gang again, this time it was scrabble. An English major among us doesn't really get into the game until the second round. And just for the records, scrabble is really not the game to start at 11pm. I almost dozed off a few times- especially with people who'd like to take forever.
SUN: Spring forward 1hr. I can't believe I got up to go to skating lesson after like 4 hrs of sleep. The lesson was not bad. One of our oldtimer has returned after like 3-4 months- nice to catch up with her. My spin is coming along- not that bad, but consistently 'not-so-good'. We even start on a camel spin today. My loop jump is almost there. And all other jumps are feeling very good. Birthday dinner for Bryan at 'Tutta Bella' pizza down in columbia city. Cute place, but two of our pizza got seriously delayed (like 30 min after everything else). Anyway, it was a good dinner, but 12 people are a little too big, especially when it's at a restaurant and you can't move around to mix and mingle. And my gay friends, while can be very social at gay bars, tend to clam up around straight people- may be it's just this particular group of straights. I don't know. They're more content just chatting among themselves somehow. Anyway, another two, different two, asked if I am a bottom. What's up with these people!!
