Go to see an old friend from the Roubideaux Spinners and Weavers Guild today at Herb-n-Oils. She and her husband came in to get some goodies from us and were telling me all about Young Living Essential Oils and about how they are so much better than our oils. Sigh! Sometimes there is just no convincing people.
For those who want to investigate Gary Young and Young Living's overpriced oils check them out

This dingbat is the kind of guy who will get us all into trouble with the FDA and the type that proves to skeptics that natural products are promoted by skunk oil salesman who are all liars, thieves and con artists. This nut will end up being a prime example of why the FDA and AMA insists that we should be "protected".
It was Young who coined the term "Therapeutic Grade". In the aromatherapy world there is no such term except used by those who are rabid followers of Young. Other companies, in an effort to compete, have also tried to make the big bucks that Young does by gouging people and so have adopted the term and raised their prices. Strangely enough many of our oils that we sell come from the same countries and growers that Young gets his oils from. He also loves to imply that his company grows and produces all their own Essential Oils, when in fact that is impossible. Sandalwood, Myrrh, Cassia, Frankinsense and a host of others cannot grow here in the USA because we do not have the type of climate for these plants, not to mention the difference in soil conditions.
My main supplier that I work with has told me that her suppliers in Bulgaria were contacted by Gary Young and he requested that the Melissa Oil he wanted to buy from them be diluted. The lady in Bulgaria informed him that she does not sell Essential Oils that way and refused to do business with him. So Young Living will never have many of our wonderful oils that originate in Bulgaria like we have. Seven of our best selling oils come from Bulgaria and Young Living will never have them especially our beautiful Bulgarian Lavender! If you want to check out our really good affordable oils stop by our website

I encourage people to do comparisons and price shopping and if anyone reading this wants me to I will gladly send you our abridged version of our Customer Price List for quicker look up than we have on our website. I have been able to help a lot of people out of the quagmire of YLEO and they are extremely grateful and thrilled that they can obtain the good stuff that is reliable and pure.
My friend's husband that came in with her today was telling me that our Peppermint was weaker than thiers. He let me smell his bottle that he keeps with him all the time and uses constantly. It was mint, but it had Pennyroyal in it. Maybe there was some Peppermint in there too, but it had unmistakable notes of Pennyroyal. Pennyroyal tends to give me a headache; so to my nose there was no doubt. Pennyroyal is an oral toxin and using it constantly could potentiate serious complications.
I knew I wouldn't have a ghost of a chance of getting these folks to listen to me, but I hope anybody who reads this does. YLEO's are not necessarily pure nor reliable. I do not trust them since Gary Young encourages people to use them full strength without dilution. In order not to poison people he would have to be selling it diluted, yet while telling them it is pure. Con men have a tendency to mix up truth of with lies so as to make themselves look good. But if a few lies get found out, how can you trust the rest of what they say? Or the products they endorse, create or sell?
I got to take a look at his book that he wrote on Essential Oils. It was almost unreadable! He wrote it as if he were screaming on paper. Every other word is either bold faced, capitalized, italicised or underlined or sometimes a combination of the aforesaid! That is NOT good writing; it makes the words meaningless. If someone is foolish enough to write a book that way, then their mind must be somewhat unhinged, because it was making me nuts just struggling to read it! I also found it incredibly distracting and I couldn't concentrate on what he wrote because I am such a language oriented person.
I've said it before and I'll say it again; God save us from this nut!
