Reactions I get are at the other end of the spectrum. Obviously I don't have my full head shaved, but my god, the looks I got at comic-con. I mean, there are people walking around in full costume from various sci-fi movies & comic books, and STILL people are gawking at me like I'm the main event.
Rarely do people actually have the guts to say anything to my face, mostly it's just pointing, laughing, whispering, glaring, sometimes loud rude comments when I'm in earshot. It's very easy to figure out whether someone is looking at your head based on hatred, attraction, or just fascination.
Even if I received all positive comments all the time, I'd still feel the exact same way I do now about myself.

WOW!
If I saw you, even though I am shy by nature, I would feel compelled to go up to you and tell you *I love your look!* And smile:)

Well thank you. I think you look good, too. I love your little head ornaments, hee.

It seems like now that I think about it, the main positive comments I ever get are either from people on the internet with unnatural hair colour, or shaved heads. Or....anonymous hair fetish enthusiasts. ::cough::

p.s. it appears we have a similar birth mark (?) on the back of our heads.
Just thought that was interesting.

Someone told me that 'everyone' has it, but I don't know about that.
I think an interesting coffee table book would be a book of bald heads with a chapter on the back of the heads/ birthmarks.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that. I've shaved some friends heads before, and I've never seen it before. I know mine has to do with the way I was born. I've got a mark on my forehead, too. It's weird that one has sort of "faded" over time, but this one just looks like a rash on my head or something.

I like to think the general gawking and derision is a result of groin-grabbing excitement.
OTHERWISE I AM VERY PISSED AT THE BUS PATRONS.
