New Entry

Yesterday was another Harbinger cookout.  They're always noisy (the Harbingers are, without a doubt, the loudest unit I've ever served with), but for some reason this one... I'm not even sure.  My head just started to throb and the shouting wasn't helping, so I went home.  Which was, in the end, just as well--from what Carsis told me when he came home, I suspect the gathering dispersed only a few hours after I had left.  Or at least, those members there that I actually have an interest in talking to left.

... that's not fair to miss Mihana, is it.  I would have liked to talk to her a bit more, but I find myself walking on eggshells around the naïve.

Oh, yes--apparently Ridelas and Jeria are adopting a child.  He brought her with him to the cookout.  Quite cute.  Reminded me a bit of Nisi, but I suspect that any small sin'dorei girl would.  Carsis tells me that Ridelas is retiring from the field because of her.  I'm not supposed to tell anyone, which is fine.  I'm not particularly inclined to.  I just hope he doesn't find himself at a loss for things to occupy his new-found free time.

What is it with people in this unit thinking that it's all right to secure their own release from infirmaries?  I never got the full story, but I'm fairly certain that the woman we both looked after on that forsaken airship did much the same thing.  Ether, I don't even know Gromdaar and I'd like to give him an earful right now.

I just hope that my words had as much effect as they seemed to, last night.

... Suddenly I feel like taking a nap.  I think I shall.
