Summary: Toki and Rockso meet.
Shaping
As he was admiring the shiny cake, Rockso recognized the man next to him. He was part of the band that had hired him, Dethklok. He played rhythm guitar. "WOW! Wow, that is one Metal birthday cake!" he commented, giving his hips a shake for emphasis. "Good enough to eat, baby!"
"You'd die if you ates that cake," the guitarist said quietly. "Skwisgaar said there was plenty of sausage around here, though, somewhere. So...you're a clowns, huh?" He fiddled with one side of his thin mustache.
"Mhm! I'm Dr. Rockso, the rock and roll clown. I do cocaine!"
"And I'ms Toki Wartooth," the guitarist said, shyly reaching out to shake Rockso's hand.
"You want Dr. Rockso to make you a balloon animal?" Rockso offered on impulse, pleased at the way shy little Toki seemed to light up.
"Oh, woulds you?"
"Yeah, I can p-practice before I get onn staaaage. What should Dr. Rockso make you, baby?"
"I'm not sures. Honestly," Toki said, curling his hair behind his ear nervously. "Anythings you want. Been a long time for me."
"Been a long time for what?"
"Getting de balloons animal."
He put a hand on Toki's shoulder. "Maybe you should be friends with Dr. Rockso."
It was flattering, the way Toki actually seemed to consider it.
"What animal do you want?" Rockso asked again.
Moments later, Toki stared at his balloon bear quietly.
Toki's expression and body language were familiar to the clown, even if Toki was not. The children who gazed at their balloon animals with same wistful look always had a hard time loosening up and expressing their feelings.
He really hoped Toki would call him up to hang out. Who was better suited than Dr. Rockso to get Toki out of his shell? Everything about Dr. Rockso was loud and outside and colorful, because the inside of him wasn't very pretty.
There was something beautiful inside of Toki, though. He just knew it. He wanted to see Toki come alive like a balloon being shaped into a bear.
