Thoughts On The Shopping Fetish Game.

My home is consumed with a very healthy obsession (for once.) Animal Crossing: City Folk. For those of you not familiar with the game, I won't ruin the surprise, go buy a Wii and the game this instant for it is the perfect game for every member of the family. Here is why using family friendly text.

1. My eldest plays with a blinding focus she shows for nothing else. First it was she MUST have the largest house possible. Now She MUST have the candy furniture collection. All of these things require piles upon piles of in game cash, which involves endless hours of collecting bushels of fruit, fish, fossils and selling it to the monopolistic boss archetype. This is perfect because it teaches her what life is like, namely slaving away at a menial job to earn cash to buy stuff you don't really need.

2. The game is perfect for the younger one because she will sit and quietly watch it, cutting in on her hitting and screaming time.

3. I love it for two reasons. One because my eldest now loves me more for having helped her make cash harvesting her orchards and turnip trading. Two, it is the ideal Japanese shopping simulator and I am a consumer whore. And how!

4. My man loves it because he can endlessly make fun of it and me for liking something so girlie. That gives him pleasure and us something to "discuss" at dinner.

Wins all around.
