I were a night photographer in the film era. I love digital but etching a long exposure on film looks a little better and more real. Not to mention that the risk of freezing your ass of and ending up with overexposed missfocused or just plain black is ever present and part of what makes it fun.. Distilling time into it's essence. But part of why long exposures were great was that ,until digital, the viewer was not over saturated with this delight of the night
