Goodbye Mook.
At 10:45am today, June 26, 2008, Mook left us by euthanasiatic injection. She spent only about 5 weeks on this Earth, and only a day and a half in our home. I held her before, during and after the procedure. The vet and staff were very kind throughout.
I felt like, if I made the decision to put her down, I had to be man enough to hold her while it happened. Maybe that's silly; but it only seems right to me.
I think that Mook's name will be my first tattoo. It seems fitting somehow.
