The meme:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.
Unfortunately, I miscounted and did eleven. And then a song came on and my muse went "WRITE. NOW." So, there's twelve here.
Also, please note that some of the lines/words/phrases are taken directly from the song, and while I've tried to follow the theme of each song, I wasn't very successful for all of them.

“One died today.”
Yuffie curses, which earns her a dirty look from Cid and sharp looks from Leon and Aerith, but she doesn’t care. “How - how’d they die?”
“Killed.”
“Oh.”
“Not the Heartless.”
Yuffie swears again, eyes bright and mouth grim, and she stands up. “I’m going out.”
They let her; they know where she’s going. Down to the dregs, to find some suicide-case, some poor abused kid, to take care of for a little while. Even she knows, however, that it won’t help.
The youth of the worlds is claimed, year after year after fucking year, by tragedy and Heartless and sheer human stupidity. It’s a pity, but they’re raising them like that.

Riku can’t see. Riku is here and then there and Roxas is losing. He grits his teeth, cuts through a Heartless and swings behind him as Riku takes a shot at his back, the creeping bastard.
He considers surrender, but throws that away. He can’t win, he knows that, not with the stink of darkness rolling off of Riku in waves, so why make it easy? He has to go on until the end, to prove to himself that he’s good enough and to prove to Riku that he’s good enough and to prove to Axel that he can and will fight to the end.
It’s not enough, but it’s something, and he smirks and glares at Riku. The final fight?
He’ll win.

Then Phoenix Downs went out of style and Heartless moved in and suddenly, suddenly, all the kids are fighting for their, the elders’, mistakes, fighting these creatures that the kids have grown up with.
Leon grunts and sits down next to Cloud, watching Sora and Riku and Kairi.
“I hate them,” Cloud remarks, no bite in it. He doesn’t mean it. None of them do.
“I hate today,” Leon corrects, and Cloud nods and they grunt.

He sees waves crashing and a girl on the beach. She is not Naminé.
“No,” he tells Naminé.
**
“I’m drawing Sora,” she says, smiling. “Do you want me to draw you next?”
A dog begging for crumbs. “Only if you want to.”
She shrugs. “All right then. Tell me if you do.”
**
He shakes his head, frowning. Everything is clear; his memory is decidedly blank.
He looks around for Naminé - Naminé who? - and can’t find her. He looks around for Riku and Sora and the other girl - Riku’s Kairi - for good measure.
None of them are here. He frowns, thinking, and remembers a tidal wave.
Maybe I’m the flotsam, he thinks, and frowns.
**
She makes a promise to Sora and he watches her. She will repair Sora’s memory.

Larxene throws him and he shudders, unnoticed.
He remembers what Naminé used to be like, shy and quiet and kind, but this isn’t her and suddenly he knows that she is no different from the other Nobodies, and the realization is almost worse than the pain, the throb-throb-ache that’s steady as the beat in his chest and pulse of blood in his body.
She has no beat, no blood, no heart to break, but he does.

“You said you’d take me out.”
“We are out.”
He smirks and she snorts and before he knows it she’s stomping off and then he shouts at her.
Olette tells Hayner that she just wants to dance for once; he makes sympathetic sounds and pats her shoulder, very uncomfortable.
Seifer rails at Rai. All he wanted was her! He didn’t do slow shit like dates and dancing; he was serious about her and he wanted to prove that in bed. How could she not get that?! Rai says something soothing and Fuu rolls her eyes.
Title: Recipe for a Replica
Characters/Pairings: Repliku
Word Count: 105 words
Rating: PG
Summary: He's part this and part that and none of him is himself.
12. "Remember the Name" by Fort Minor feat. Styles Of Beyond
He’s fifty percent Riku (hair and build and eyes, oh the eyes that stare straight to the soul) and fifty percent Vexen (attitude and darkness and greedy, scientific and arrogant, it’s all in the walk).
Five percent Sora (loyalty) and ten percent Naminé (memories and smiles) and twenty-five percent Axel (smirk and laugh and sneer) and still sixty percent Riku (he flips his hair a little and grins and says something dorky; Naminé smiles back at him, a true smile).
He’s all these people and it takes him fighting and fighting and losing to realize that people cannot make a person; he’s one-hundred-percent fake; nothing.
