OOC: his_firstborn used in limited form with the kind indulgence and trust of his creator and protective 'mum'. This started as a drabble but is over that word count, so, meh, not posting it in the comm. Timeline is post Lisa. The yacht was dancing across the still ocean, and the family on board was recovering from several years of loss, death, betrayals and ( Read more... )

"My dearest Daniel, I have been alive since the Bronze Age, and I can assure you that I have made a complete fool of myself, and for far worse people." Cassandra's warm, brown eyes had a bit of humour, as well as regret, in them. "You will fall in love, fall on your face and get back up. That is the life of our kind. If not, then you are not living, merely existing." She eased as gently out of the topic as she went into it, but left him with a good note. "Whenever the sting hurts from that, Daniel, just remember Benjamin. The real love we get is precious and will sustain us, long after they have gone." Cassandra gently kissed his cheek, and led him over to sit. "Yes, really. But this remains between us. I have always sensed in you a heightened sensitivity. It seemed, when you were a child, that you could feel more and know more than most. It will serve you well, once you learn to control it. However, you need to guard it, in the meantime, because you lead with your beautiful heart, and that can lead to longing and ( ... )

"That young woman had no idea what she was doing, the risk she created for you. All she cared for was her own ambition. Real love...true love...it would allow no such breach of trust. Think about that, when it really hurts, the fact that Ben would have never betrayed you in such a way. Then let her go, accepting that she was not the right one, and that you are stronger than that sort of thing can destroy. Moving on is never easy, Daniel. The Gods know I hold great bitterness, myself, though I endeavor to keep it in its place." Cassandra's expression showed, for a moment, her bitter hatred that she nursed for thousands of years ( ... )

Daniel saw that bitterness in her eyes. If Cassandra, one of the strongest women he knew, had found it so difficult to put her past with the Horsemen behind her, then what chance did he have? And his injury was not nearly so bad as that which was done to her. "I just wish... I wish we didn't always have to lose the best people." Yes, Lisa had betrayed him, but it had happened at a low point for him with Ben so recently dead, the last of so many who he had grown up among. She had taken advantage of his want/need to find someone as loyal as his lover ( ... )

"I know, Darling. I know. But we never lose them, not completely. Not so long as we keep their memory alive." She embraced him, tightly, which was rare. Cassandra was not a sentimental woman, and her emotional side only came out with her son and grandson, but even then it was a formal kind of love. This was a very special and deep type of moment, one that was a showing of their bond. "I believe that we are alone, for dinner. Would you do me the honor of dining with me? I would enjoy your company ( ... )

The force of Cassandra's hug was certainly a surprise, but a very welcome one, and Danny returned it just as tightly as he held her, burying his face against her hair, taking comfort from her reassurance. When they eventually pulled apart, he nodded, having also felt the absence of both Cody's and Hsu's Quickening. "I would love to, Gran. Your company is the best." He stood and offered his bent arm for his grandmother to take ( ... )

"Andy created the best system, but yeah...even the best needs and upgrade." She missed MacDonald, and Lars, after so many years. But she was high, and didn't want to let that go away.

Cody Jean gasped in delight when he dragged her up and had her straddle his leg. The leather of his pants, along with the teeny bit of silky elastic of her thong panties, gave a perfect friction. It was so perfect that he damn near had her coming, just with the coke and the rubbing. She rubbed, too, with her hand over his hard, straining cock, and she boldly leaned over to lick on the outside, and lightly rake her teeth over. Cody threw her head back, rocking on his leg like some obscene and perverted pubescent girl on her uncle's knee at a family dinner...the uncle no one let the kids stay with too long.

She had just felt those lovely shudders rising, and then he pushed her off, and she growled and grumbled with frustration. There may have even been a little bit of a pout. Sigh! Oh, well, they had enemies to kill, and blood to fuck in, and ( ... )
