[In the rush of making new friends, seeing love bloom, and the mood of the holiday spirit, Minnie has managed to lighten up considerably. In fact, thanks to one of her new friends, she's contemplating something very silly that she's taking seriously.  In Saffron, she's sitting in the Pokemon Center, tapping a pencil to a notepad in contemplating if ( Read more... )

[Hello again, Minnie! He's... going to pretend he didn't hear that first part - he doesn't want to know if you've been kissing other people other than Mickey, what-

Though he does consider the second question.]

I think if you feel like you're truly a normal human then you are. Sometimes it's the choices you make that make you who you are, y'know?

Oh no, I don't mean like that, Alfred. I mean if you had magic or something like that.

I don't see how having magic makes you less human though.

It's just like... a special skill or something.

And many of our special kiss have been locked away! Maybe I should just get to the point...

You know how in so many fairy tales, a kiss from a prince or princess can restore people back to normal?

Oh! That makes a bit more sense. Y'mean like True Loves Kiss, right?

My new friend Robin asked me about it, since I'm a Queen. Mickey was here for a short time, so I kissed him a lot, but he never turned back into a mouse. But now I'm wondering if that counts, since he was a King... Robin made me wonder if a kiss from a Queen like myself or any other princess could turn non-royalty back to how they were.

[... this makes total sense in her mind, shut up.]

I think this world would probably cancel that all out anyway. Even if it would be nice to keep something like that here.

[It's okay. Alfred's just sat there thinking BUT YOU'RE NOT FROGS!?!]

[don't be speciest, al.]

You'd think so, but it's got me wondering... what if we're all in one big fairy tale or story?

[he can't help it okay, it's what happens in the stories he's read.]

But. Pokémon's a game? [He actually tilts his head a little in confusion at that.]

What if it's a story about the game?

[inception, johto version. we need to go deeper.]

Well, I guess Johto wasn't in the game I played.

[...OH DEAR. but are they dreaming or is this reality-]

See? If it were so simple as that game, you would know how it ended. But doesn't it sound like a story, being stuck in a game?

[this is the real life, is this just fantasy, caught in a landslide - ]

I... guess it kinda does. But it'd be the Pokémon story, rather than... a different type. Wouldn't it?

[No escape from reality, open your eyes, look up to the sky and seeee---- a Pidgeeeeeeey!]

Who knows? I'm just trying to think of tried and true things that happen in lots of stories, like the magic of a royal kiss. I guess to really make sure it doesn't work here, I have to find someone who wasn't a normal human before coming here, and who isn't royalty themselves.

[... though she does wind up chewing the eraser at the thought of kissing someone other than mickey. ewww.]

Y-you're... [He frowns then though, because why would you even do that, Minnie? Even think it.]

I guess there's always mistletoe... if they even have it in Johto.

[It's a way to give a reason for it but... whyyyy?]

... On the one hand, it could mean breaking spells, restoring people to their original bodies, and maybe getting their powers back, which would help us all.

On the other... [ewwwww. chew-chew-chew.]
