She gets so sick of crying...
CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN KATHY & HER MOM
(Setting: Mom just got back from her trip to New Hampshire. Kathy goes to greet her.)
Kathy: Hi mom!
Mom: Hi. *has a sour look on face*
Kathy: Are you mad?
Mom: No, I just don't care for you right now.
Kathy: What? But I haven't done anything!
Mom: & you know what? I was actually glad to get away from you. I didn't even miss you.
Kathy: *tears start to form* But, why!?
Mom: Cuz you've been really nasty to me for the past week & I'm just sick of you.
Kathy: *by this time she's bawling* Well at least I'm not the one telling you I didn't miss you!
*Kathy abandons her job of sweeping the kitchen & walks to the bathroom*
Mom: Look, I didn't mean to make you cry [psh, what do you expect]. I'm just trying to distance myself from you.
Kathy: & may I ask why?
Mom: So then maybe if we aren't talking, we won't fight anymore.
Kathy: Well I hope that works for you.
-Someone's watching a little too much opera.
(Setting: Kathy was just outside teasing her sister. But not being mean. So her sister runs up to her & grabs her wrists & starts kicking at her. Then the bracelete Kathy was wearing, that her grandmother had bought her for Easter, breaks.)
*Kathy walks into house not talking and looking sad. She sits on a chair & begins trying to piece the bracelet back together.*
*Sara walks in house.*
Sara: Kathryn, I'm really sorry.
Kathy: Whatever, it's fine.
Mom: What happened?
Kathy: She broke the bracelete I got at Easter.
Mom: Sara, is this true?
Sara: Yes... *looks down at feet*
Mom: Well you just have to be more careful. & Kathryn, you shouldn't wear jewelry outside!!!!! You know better!
-If I had done that, I would have been grounded for quite a while. She's so talented, she can make my sister breaking my bracelete my fault.
(Setting: Kathy is making some super spiffy jeans. She finishes the first 2 patches, & goes to show her mom)
Kathy: Do you like it!?
Mom: No, it looks really stupid.
-She had spent an hour & a half on the first 2 patches.
(Setting: Mom tells Kathy that one of her favorite shows are on tonight. Kathy usually watches this show with her mom.
Mom: House is on tonight.
Kathy: yessssssss!
Mom: But you can watch it downstairs tonight.
Kathy: Umm..why?
Mom: Cuz I don't want to be in the same room as you.

Mom: Kathryn, my god. YOU SCREW UP EVERYTHING! MY WHOLE WEEKEND IS RUINED! ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS YOURSELF!
