I think today was a really good day. I went to work and was actually in a good mood there. Jeff mentioned the full time position again and I found out a bit more about it. I'd move up to 8.25 an hour immediately upon taking the "job", and after I was trained with all the new responsibilities, I'd go to at least 9 bucks an hour. That won me over right there. Full time work with that much money? Yeahhh. And see, it's not so bad, because I haven't actually started at Albertson's yet. I was supposed to go in tomorrow and finish last minute things and get my work outfit, and Saturday was the Orientation in Gresham. So I didn't feel so bad (just a teensy bit) when I called and told them I couldn't take the job after all. It was a lady that I talked to and she was really nice, so that was good. I wasn't even really nervous about it either, which is surprising. So I think I start the new position, and my training, next week. :) Thanks to everyone for their advice!

In other news, Chris and I went shopping for stuff for my kitty. We got toys, litter box and litter, food, a food dish, oh all kinds of stuff. I found out my mom LIKES my cat now. I was just hoping for her to ACCEPT the fact that I had a cat living in the house, not to actually start enjoying it being around. But, she admitted to me today that she took a nap on my bed and had a little bonding session with Mittens last night, and tonight I caught her making baby noises at the cat. Awwwww! How Sweet, lmao.

Chris and I also went to chill at Markas' house. I guess (for now at least) that's the new hangout spot, since The House was closed down. We didn't stay long, but yeah...now I see why Marcus lived at The House, and not at home .

First, the house is TRASHED. It's like these people never throw anything away, literally. The rooms are divided into 3 or 4 seperate rooms by the trash, clothes, and all around JUNK that is laying around. There's one room downstairs that you can't even get the door open all the way because the room is full to almost the ceiling with bags and boxes and piles of god only knows what. Marcus, Tidus, and Larson are now living in the back room. The walls, once white plaster, are corner to corner holes and dents from where the boys destroyed them with various objects and each other's bodies. And if you can make it up the stairs, down the hall, and across a sea of old toys and clothes to Marcus' brothers room, the walls there are covered in writing...names and obscene words are scribbled with sharpies. And it seems the boys have a fondness for jumping out of the 2nd story window straight down onto the lawn, and climbing through the windows of the back room instead of entering the house through any of the doors.
Yes, it was pretty insane, especially when I saw Marcus' 16 year old sister breastfeeding her baby on the couch, with her other child, a toddler, was running around screaming. Yikes.

Anyway, since I was there, I just had to take part in the destruction. Come on, I have a desctructive streak too, boys aren't the only ones who can like to blow shit up and rip down walls!
I was handed a basball bat and made my very own hole in the wall in the bedroom, and signed "AllyGirlie" with little hearts around it, and the date, on the upstairs wall. I even got to witness Markas leaping from the open window, landing like a monkey on the ground below, and scampering away. I loved it all!
I also finished a roll of film, taking pics of everyone sitting around on the beds. I eventually left, crawling out the window and trying not to break my ankle wading through the stuff beneath.

Meh so anyway. My drive test is in 11 hours. I went out and practiced tonight, making a pitstop at Dairy Queen for a Peanut Butter Oreo Blizzard. *orgasms*

As of 7 pm it was officially my weekend and I'm getting paid in about sixteen hours. I'd say life, for the moment, is good.
