hello from Southern Oregon

How happy was I to find that there is a lovely new Dell computer with a dsl connection at the house I'm staying at here in Medford? Very.

My family was hoping I'd get off work early last night so we could get on the road, but I was working with Casey and she's lazy as fuck so I had to stay the whole time. She's like "I'll let you take care of the vacuuming so I can close the main register" and then she sat there and ate candy and watched me vacuum. Grrrr...But I suppose I get along with her a little better now. I've realized she has the same personality (and I mean exact same) as my old best friend Kelly, so now that I know that I should be able to handle her. Very self centered, loves to talk about herself. Mmmhmm.

I had to finish packing after work and we left at about 8 pm. I spent the whole trip down listening to the new cds I got for Christmas and thinking. I did a LOT of thinking. Long car rides are excellent for that. I used to do all my thinking in bed at night before I went to sleep but really, I don't do that anymore. I watch Nick at Nite until I'm so tired I can't keep my eyes open, then I turn off the tv and go right to sleep. So this was nice. I only wish my family would be as happy to just sit and listen to music and be quiet. But nooo, they have to talk, and sing, and play charades, and try to read magazines by flashlight, and eat, and pass things back and forth. I like our Lexus SUV but I'd almost rather have the minivan back for the long trips. I just took the whole backseat and no one bothered me.

I spent the day at the Rogue Valley mall (I've called it the Happy Time mall since I was little, it kicks major ass), shopping my little heart out. I have a shitload of new clothes, some Volatile shoes and some cool stuff for my car, my room, and just me. It was SO nice to spend my money on me for the first time in a while, now that Christmas is over.

I'm just a little miffed though, the guy at Anchor Blue was too busy flirting with me and he rang up my stuff twice, so instead of 40 bucks going on my card, 80 did. Well guess what? I didn't have 80 in my account. So now I'm 23 bucks overdrawn. I found that out, called them, and had to go in for cash because they are fucking retarded and cant just put the money back on my card. And then the bitch who gave me my money back was rude and didn't even say sorry. So I have to hunt down a Washington Mutual around here tomorrow and try to put the 40 back in so I don't get an overdrawn fee or something.

I also spent some time with my little cousins Kaitlynn and Bailey. They are SO hyper and clingy and I really don't care much for kids at this point in my life. I'm too impatient. They got a trampoline for Christmas and they dragged me out there to play on it. I jumped for a while and then watched them bounce...I'm so horrible, all I could think of was "yes...jump away, little ones, tire yourselves out". I shouldn't be so awful. I mean, after all, I get to sleep in Kaitlyn's room, which means I don't have to sleep in the guest house on the floor while my parents snore away in the bed. *shudder*

Sooo greetings from Medford (or actually, Central Point)! I'll be home either late tomorrow night or early friday afternoon. :)
