About that fast train...
China just set a record; fastest unmodified train. There have been specially modified TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse-I love the way that sounds) and Shinkansen trains that have gone faster, but this is going to be the everyday Beijing to Shanghai, 800 mi. in 5 hours, train. *sigh* Maybe when we finally get around to building our system we can use their old ones?
