ok so actually it's Jan 18, 2005 but whatever
wow it's been a really long time since i've updated. I won't go into the details of it all but i will give an over view of the weeks following Christmas.
Wick and I picked Jeanice up from the B'ham Airport...."your dad wasn't a glass maker" heehee she stayed till wednesday. Lydia and Shawn came up Tuesday. Gosh it was great seeing them. I missed them like crazy over the break.
So we hung out for a week in the Ham then came back to Mobile together. We saw Thoroughly Modern Millie with Chad's mom, Whitney, and Her mom. It was SO good! Friday I got my hair cut off and Chad started singing the "Everything is thoroughly modern" song to me.
School this semester is going to be great. I can already tell. I am loving philosophy!!! Dr. Mashburn is awesome! It's going to be really great b/c I don't have an 8:00 any day! So Rebekah WAKES up at 8:00 instead of running to class! heehee. This past weekend we had yesterday (Monday) off b/c of Martin Luther King Jr.'s b'day (Robert E Lee's b'day too by the way). We (me, lydia, kadie, shawn, chad, and garrett) spent like 4 and a half HOURS at parks!! lol Kadie and I are so sore from hanging and climbing on the stuff it's hilarious! we played lava monster and had an absolute blast!
Sunday we decided that Shiloh probably isn't the place for us on Sunday mornings. Gosh...why can we not find a church down here. It really bothers me and I want to get plugged in SO bad but I haven't like every aspect of one church down here yet. I miss going to Riverside. Sounds weird b/c i'm not a member there but I really like it.
Saturday momma and daddy brought me my laptop and some books i needed and they met me, chad, and shawn in foley at Lambert's the eat lunch. it was so good. and lots of fun too. that night Abby B calls me and says "hey i'm in gulf shores with my family for the weekend let's get together" so sunday she and her friend heather come into Mobile and they hang out with us for a few hours. it was SOOOOO good to see Abby B again. I miss her so much while i'm down here. I know i sound really bad for saying i miss her and not saying i miss other ppl like ginny but it's different. like i do miss my ginny but i can see her anytime i go home...the whole time i'm home. abby i NEVER get to see. oh well...i'm not even going to try to explain myself anymore.
deffinately got told i needed to be on a diet today at lunch!! it was really funny but really sad all at the same time. at our table was shawn, whitney, and jeanice on one side and chad, lydia, me, and dirk on the other. well we were talking about how lyd and i are on a "two roll only" diet and shawn is on a "three roll diet" (hahaha) and whitney "the only ppl at this table that don't need to be on a diet are these three and points to lydia, jeanice, and shawn. i look at her and go "hey thanks a lot preciate it!" and dirk goes off! it was REALLY funny when dirk just started screaming in the caf "what? you think i'm fat? you think i need to loose my belly? huh?" anyway...that's probably the most interesting thing that has happened today.
today is my dad's birthday ...i've tried calling him but he won't answer his cell...he has two and won't answer either...goodness...
ok that's enough for the time being. i must go and read Dante's Inferno, Gustave's Madame Bovary, do my french, and finish The Lovely Bones...gosh i HAVE to finish that book THIS week so i won't be reading it instead of my class stuff.
