Turns out I might not be so screwed after all. After having my photograph taken with the rest of the inmates of the Physics building, I waited for seven hours to get my results. From those seven hours I learned the following:
I suck at word games.
Pool is mostly based on luck.
Never order food at Origins in Darwin.
It apparently takes women two hours to go into town and get five McFlurries. They had a car. I could have done it in an hour walking.
Never let cretins near the jukebox in Origins.
I also learned after the seven hours that I have a very, very small chance of progressing to the fourth year. If I pass all three of my resits, I'll have an average of 52%. I need 50% to get to year four. So hopefully, if I work very very hard and don't fuck this up, I can reverse the immense damage I did to my degree this year. Fingers crossed.
In other news, I've started my job. I asked for them to put me in Rutherford again. They put me in Tyler Court. I have no words to describe the horror, although it is marginally better than if they'd put me in Darwin or Park Wood. I at least know the guy running the place. Ho hum. It's only four hours a day.
