Christmas Lesson

Now we all know how the world sucks, I of all people know this to be true.
Even now we fantasize about the evils that every one else plans as we wallow through our paranoid perceptions of life. I've seen people get the hell beaten out of them for being the wrong color, I've seen some one steal because they thought it was 'fun'. A guy recently beat a woman to death for a game system, and so close to christmas.
All of this shit, and we become so heavily jaded by life as it is. But here's the twist in this tale of mine. Dont forget that there ARE good people. A know a man who paid for his neighbors christmas dinner. I know a family who gave away a christmas tree to a less fortunate family down the road, for NOTHING! I know people who have stood up and defended others from malicous groups of assholes looking to pick on weaker people. Just the other day I saw a man coming out of Mcdonalds pass by a guy down on his luck. The guy walked back in and bought a Meal and gave it to the guy, they wished each other merry christmas and parted.
We become so used to this hell that we become it. But dont become what you hate. Do somethign nice for some one, no matter how small or how signifigant it may be - even if you're just holding the door open for some old lady. Some times we have to be reminded that not every one is evil and not everything deserves a 'reward'. I think if it takes a holiday to do so then lets go for it!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
