Wow!! It's Been A While!
Quite a bit has happened here! I'm in my second week of college classes right now. Biology is the only one I have at the school, the others are online. I'm playing catchup until I get my own computer back, as I'm sharing a computer at the college and with my three roommates to actually manage to get my homework done right now. I'm doing fairly well so far, quite enjoying my classes and look forward to another Straight A Semester. *cheers*
In other news, I've got a job! I had my orientation at Walmart here in Marion today, and I'll be working as a sales floor associate in Health and Beauty Aids starting tomorrow. It's pretty sweet, and I'm really looking forward to it. I miss having a job where I get to walk around and do stuff and talk to people; these office jobs have sort of burnt me out, especially the college counselling office one. I'm still doing that one though, so it's all gravy.
I'm now fully moved off Job Corps center and I live about five miles away with two friends and Charles. Life couldn't be better, except with getting my own computer so I can work more often and talk to everyone once in a while. I'm also running for a new Dungeons and Dragons group, and it's really fun! One of my roommates and my other roommate's brother plays, along with Charles. He and I alternate DMing, he runs a higher powered campaign, I run a smaller set of adventures, 2nd and 3rd level characters. We have a half orc paladin, a gnome bard and a halfling rogue currently, and whew, you have no idea the interesting situations we find ourselves in when 2/3 of our party is under three feet tall! The half orc paladin is interesting in his own way, and I'm very impressed with his player's RPing skills.
