For those of you out there who are my comic reading friends, I just want to weigh in on the upcoming mega event, Infinite Crisis (InC). For those of you who don't read comics, but are at least somewhat familiar with the DCU - Infinite Crisis is the direct sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths (CoIE) - as to how it is a sequel no one knows, but some more recent happenings have lead to some more informed speculation, more on that later. Anyway all that we've been told content-wise other than that it's a sequel is that a)it will involve a band of heroes trying to set the timeline "right" and b)after it's all over the DCU will jump forward a year leaving a series tentatively titled 52 to fill in the gap of that year.
Of course this story started with Identity Crisis (IdC) last August, which along with Teen Titans, I blame for my current obsession with the DCU (I think I might have to blame Bustin for the Green Arrow part of it all though). Identity Crisis/Infinite Crisis has been building across multiple titles, some of which I've gotten to read, some of which still smack of the old DC with one page being a "tie-in". Anyway I've wanted to comment on some of what I've gotten to read. I’ll be doing this over the next few days I think. Heavy spoilers will be in hard to read without highlighting text.
