Another Day

Sep 17, 2006 16:29

Well, we drove about 12 hours on Friday to get here, but we made it one piece and I didn't have to kill any of the other occupants of the vehicle. So I suppose that's a plus.

Gran just looks so drawn and tired. She was able to open her eyes Friday night. She even tried to talk to us. Yesterday, she was having a really hard time breathing. They had to come suction her lungs out a couple of times. They are giving her haladol (it's probably spelled wrong, but hey, cut me some slack) and one other drug to keep her comfortable. The oxygen that they are giving her is really what is keeping her alive. Her breathing is much more shallow today and her eyes are so sunken. Her beautiful soft skin is dry to the touch, so is her hair.

I hope she understands that it's okay for her to go. She doesn't need to hang on just for us.

I have limited computer access, so these postings will be few and far between. If something major happens, I'll find a way to let you all know.

In the meantime, I remain-
your bliss
