What a Weekend So Far!

Yesterday was Henry's 50th birthday. I made reservations at Yen Ching two weeks ago so that he could have Peking Duck. Rhiannon and Thomas met us there. It was really just a nice family dinner. The duck was wonderful, even though the head creeped Rhiannon out. We brought a lot of food home, so it's going to be leftovers for a few days.

I actually went to Saturday Knitting this morning! There weren't many there, but the one's who were made for some great company and conversation. Gwen, Ingrid and I ended up going to Michael's (used a 40% coupon for some new Knit Lites) and then on to Hobby Lobby (I picked up a couple of skeins of black wool for my pirate bag). I may have over done it, but I had so much fun! We've (meaning me, Gwen and Ingrid) decided that we were going to do things like this more often. We're even thinking of getting together at one of our homes for some extra knitting and hanging out with the girls time. Why should we just knit in public? I say Knit where you wanna Knit!

I think I'm going to go get started on that pirate bag. It doesn't look too terribly hard. I don't think that I'm going to try and Fair Isle the skull and crossed bones. I think I'm just going to do a duplicate stitch. I have black wool for the body of the bag and a bright pink for the skull and crossed bones. If I decide to do the small back, I'll make it pink with a black skull and crossed bones. I should have enough yarn to do both bags. If not, it's not like it's really expensive and hard to get. It's only Lion Wool and they have an abundance of it at Hobby Lobby. I'll check yardage and weights and see if I need to pop over to HL tonight before the 30% off sale is over.

Huggles and other crap like that-
Tammy
