We Survived Black Friday

Henry and I actually ventured out yesterday to see what was on sale. We waited until after all of the door buster business was over. There was no way I wanted to tackle a bunch of crazed shoppers who were going to be fighting over the 10 tv's that were in one store. We picked up a computer case for the system that Henry is building for Rhiannon and got her a pretty hot pink keyboard and mouse for it. There wasn't really much left at CompUSA after the swarm from the night before. There had to be at least 300 people lined up waiting to get in Thanksgiving evening at 9 for the 9 to Midnight sale.

So then it was off to Target. We picked up a carpet steamer for $70, so that was good. And we found one of those little iDog things for Rhiannon. Henry couldn't resist playing with it before putting it away for Christmas. I hope Rhiannon likes it. Hopefully she will.

We're going to venture out here in a little while to Slumberland to see if they have the bar to match our living room furniture. Then I guess we'll hit Lowe's to pick up some sheet rock for the basement.

Oh, we finally went to Fritz & Co. Boy, were we disappointed. The food was expensive and not really all that good. We ended up ordering a couple of appetizers and no dinner, which was fine with me. Yet another strike out for a new restaurant. We'll add it to Piztro's, Ajua and that new seafood place Wild something or other on the list of places not to go back to. If we want good calimari, I guess we'll go back to Macaroni Grill. They seem to have the best calimari in town right now. Light and crisp without heavy breading. And it's tender, not rubbery, and comes with two great sauces.

I hope your holiday weekend is going well-
Bliss
