Time Passes
Wow, has a month really gone by since I wrote last? So much is and has gone on. People have moved on and lives have changed. People have passed on to the next life and the rest of us have kept moving forward.
Just when I thought that the whole rash on my arms thing was almost over, huge amount of stress hits two weeks ago and every spot that was healing re-blistered and some new ones popped up. So I finally had the money to go to the doctor. It was only immediate care, but it was a doctor all the same. Two cultures on my arm and one for my back later and I was on clindamycin for 10 days. 10 miserable days. That stuff kills my tum and makes me so sick. Then on to the drive-by dermatologist who spent all of 2 minutes with me and barely glanced at my arms. Another bunch of money that I really needed for other things down the tubes. He has put me on a three-week course of prednisone...the stuff that literally makes my bones hurt...and some horrid antibiotic cream that I have to apply twice a day. But at least the rash is drying up and going away. And the leak in my back...well, that seems to be slowly going away, as well.
I'm still in a crafting slump. A major one. I can't bring myself to stitch for any reason. I've tried changing pieces. I've tried starting new ones. Nothing is bringing out my stitching mojo. But I have found myself really attracted to learning how to knit. So I'm hellbent that I'm going to find someone who can teach my non-crocheting arse how to knit. I may have to take a lesson at Heritage Hut to do it, but by Gawd, I'm gonna learn how to freakin' knit. I don't care if it harelips the president.
