Henry's scribbling away in his journal.

I had my first class today, and I'm already feeling quite optimistic about this school. The class was Twenty-first century Popular Culture, and the teacher Ms. Tyler. She requested that we not refer to her by that title outside of class, but I should find that very uncomfortable. I've refrained from using titles with my peers, but it just isn't proper to address a superior so casually. Perhaps a simple Ma'am would suffice?
Yet, I am off-topic. In this class, we are encouraged to participate and ask questions. As one might guess, my perspective on the class changed greatly after that was revealed. I had expected that it would be a necessary class for my efforts in merging into Fandom's culture, but I had never supposed that it would be stimulating!
I sat with Setsuna at lunch today. She's in the school's Fencing Club. In a moment of genuine idiocy, I let slip that embarrassing affair with Lanyon and the "duel" (of course it doesn't count if both parties have barely reached their tenth year!). If truth were told, I am a trifle interested in learning a sport, and fencing would be something acceptable back home. But I know that my participation would lead to nothing but grief and mortification. I'm better off devoting that spare time to my chemistry.
