Lilly is utterly exhausted. Thursday night was spent in the Dreaming with Blodwen. Friday night was spent in the Dreaming with her brother plotting an assassination. Saturday night was spent on board Serenity while a baby was being born.
None of these situations are exactly conducive to sleep. She looks nearly as tired as she feels when she stumbles into the suite, takes two steps towards her bedroom, realizes the couch is closer and collapses in a small heap next to Indy without saying a word.
Indy cranes his neck and curiously follows her weary progress across the room, onto the couch, and into his tender ribs. He tenses and bites back the groan. She looks so tired. He doesn't want to make a fuss.
"G'morning, sleepy head."
He nets his fingers into her hair and starts stroking.

He smiles down at her. Not so much at the newsbabies and Indy aren't a great comboas her presence.
"First birth experience? Or're you a semi-professional bar midwife as well, and just never told me?"
