Well things are very fun for me as I'm working at Wal-Mart for the 3rd time now. First I was a cart pusher at the smaller store about 4 years ago. Didn't stay there very long. Then in april of last year I got hired as an unloader at the larger store and for the most part it was alright at first even though there was only four of us. We got up to eight people at one time and then everything went to hell, one transfered ,two quit, and another got fired for taking a swing at another asociate (The guy was joking around but management was looking for a good excuse to fire him as he was fairly worthless at the job.) Down to four and then corporate says to split our times, 2 come in for 2-11 the other two stay at the original 4-1 me and another guy go to the 2-11 shift thinking that we were going to get started unloading trucks earlier, wrong we get to help ICS finish up their stuff then set up for the truck so we rarely started unloading before 4. during this time we got one more guy but he only stayed for about 1 week and then left (no surprise there). Then the guy that was with me on the 2-11 shift quit because he was tired of doing stuff that we shouldn't of been asked to do. down to 3 and this was when we were starting to get larger amounts of frieght in preporation for christmas. Got another guy on 2-11 but he only lasted 2-3 weeks, good ridance the bastard never stayed later then 11 no matter what. got another guy on 4-1 that didn't stay. I stayed with that job for 1 year 1 month and 1 day, and just before I left we actually got a good worker that transfered from a much smaller store. And now 3 months later I'm back as an unloader at the same store and now there's an in fight for the team leader position as the current one is transfering to overnights. It's between one guy that came in a couple of months after I did and the guy that transfered in just before I left. right now there's a total of 10 unloaders, if the guy that transfered in just before I left gets the leader position well over half of us are walking out. From what I've heard, as I've only been back for a few days, ever since he found out the leader position was up for grabs he's slacked off on working become a rather large ass, has said if he doesn't get the position he's quiting (let him I say). I know for a fact that he isn't following rules and he's bossing others around like he's already got the position. I've only worked with him for 2 days and I've already seen anough that I know he is not team leader material. The very first day back I saw him talking to somebody on the sales floor when he was supposed to be taking pallets from the back to the floor, he had a pallet that he was taking still on his jack and not in the area it was supposed to go. I passed him 2 times before he moved.
