Wow. This past week or so has been wonderful. Let's see...

Epic Brass Summer Institute 2005!!!!

When I signed up for this camp, I wasn't really expecting it to be that fun, because I suck at euphonium. It ended up being amazing. I learned sooo much on my intrument. And, I met Jackie, Nathan, Joe, and Jacob. I love them! about half way through the week, I wasn't really sure if I wanted to come again next summer, but after the concert, I'm positively coming back. The concert was hilarious. I don't think I will ever be given the chance to play AND dance at the same time again. I think that Harold L. Walter's Pizza Party is my new favorite song...

I spent all Saturday with an old friend. I hadn't seen Brian since about 7th grade. I had a great time. He lives somewhere in New Hampshire, but I can't remember the name of the town. We went swimming, and hung out with his friends. I'd forgotten how great he was.

JULY THE 4TH!!!
Oh my. I had the best 4th ever. Alicia and Pat picked me up at 7, and we went into Boston. Our plan was to get seats on the Esplanade, but when we got there, the line was insane. We were worried that we wouldn't get in. Luckily, we did, and our patch of grass wasn't too shabby. We came sooo unprepared. Alicia brought her purse, which only had a shit load of quarters in it, Pat brought himself, and I brought a blanket. I guess it never crossed our minds that we would be sitting there for over 12 hours. We ended up just leaving the blanket there while we lollygagged around Boston. Some highlights:

1. the guy sitting behind us in a patriotic speedo.
2. alicia, and her "accidental" hand holding incidents.
3. the trashy teen magazines.
4. our $5.99 styrofoam cooler.
5. the urine filled wading pool.
6. walking around all afternoon with wet clothing on.
7. playing spit on pat's back while he was sleeping.
8. being invited to share a blanket with a group of people, cause they felt bad for pat, who was stil sleeping.
9. the drunk college kids at the blanket next to us
10. the kung foo fight that one drunk college kid, and the guy with the patriotic speedo had
11. THE POPS!!!! (they were AMAZING!)
12. the fat woman in the army chorus
13. the principal who sang "when your good to mama" from Chicago. (it is the most sexual song ever, yet she made it sound so innocent and pure)
14. Swing dancing with the drunk college kids.
15. Watching the many cuddling positions that the couple near us were experimenting with.
16. finagle a bagel
17. the 3,000 block walk to the T
18. the woman who tripped on the sidewalk
19. the people who got on the extremely crowded T with pink blow up chairs

and finally

20. the freaky college kids who were on the T. they talked about good words to use in scrabble for WAY to long. ("is jynx spelled with a Y, or an I?"..."if only the word was zyjynx... or zzyjynx, then they would be perfect!!")

Today, I slept basically alllll day. Then I taught an oboe lesson. After that I went to summer training at the high school. (it's for speed... i had to lift weights. i have the weakest arms ever). and now, I am babysitting.

yay.
