I've had a very sore neck, and I re-installed the Sims 3. Those are my excuses.
Lindsay's birthday party went well, though Chris and I both weren't used to be around so much... estrogen. I love my friends, but wow. It was like watching six episodes of The View at the same time. But that's largely to do with the fact that everything was new information to me, I couldn't write off certain conversations like they could, and there were more people than there usually is at her parties. Oh and a lot of them were drunk. That was a pretty big factor too.
With my sleep schedule still being synced with Chris', we were both pretty tired much earlier than everyone else was. So we set up our sleeping bags way before the rest of the party did, and for some reason even though we were in the biggest tent and space was limited-- we went to sleep in an empty tent and woke up in an empty tent. Overall it was a lot of fun though, and good to get to see all our old friends again.
The day after Lindsay's party I spent at Chris' house, we set the wii up on my tv in his room and I played some Mario Party while he cleaned up. Basically his room has suffered through 6 terms of "I'm home for the weekend, ditch what I can and clean it up later". And this was later! He managed to get a good chunk done before dinner, and then he fell asleep while I played some Wind Waker. I got stuck and gave up to play some Plants vs. Zombies, but when he woke up and I got him to look at where I was in Wind Waker it turned out I was just stuck because at a spot where you had to throw rocks at a bomb plant, I was apparently hitting not close enough. Had the right idea, just didn't have the right skills for the game mechanics and graphics. And then, we retired to a nice big comfy bed which should have been very refreshing after sleeping on the floor, and then the ground-- but no. My body decided to be a jerk to me. Evidently, the pillows were stacked up too high for my neck. But instead of rolling, or readjusting in any way, I had one of my nights where I barely move at all. [Lindsay's fell victim to one of these nights at another of her birthday parties. She was waiting for me to roll over so she could sneak past me to get out of the tent camper she had that year, apparently , I just never rolled.] So my neck was killing me once I woke up.
Then Chris' mom gave me a ride back to Victoria, and not much else has happened. My grandparents ran around getting everything ready for them to leave on their cruise. Pretty funny actually-- both of them, at separate times, came into the room I'm in and pushed some money into my hands "just in case". Top off the funny, they both used the example of milk. Either they don't tell each other when they give me money, or its some elaborate scheme to play it off as if they don't spoil me haha ^_^ They left this morning, and won't be back for about a week. I'm waiting on an email from build a bear so I can go back up island for a visit with Chris before he comes back down to Victoria to start CL training.
Hopefully the email will come tomorrow, because I'd like to be part of Chris' less-short-than-3-days-but-still-shortish-and-swiftly-coming-to-a-close summer.
