Been argueing with Adam. About women in church. And then later yelled at him over a math problem. And then about his negativity towards women. Not happy.
But an interesting bible verse for everyone. Comments please. If you have any religious friends, send them to this entry and ask them to comment. I want all the input I can take.
1 Timothy 2:11-15
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp any authority over man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not decieved, but the woman being decieved was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
It doesn't seem fair that a woman must be submissive in the church and that she can hold no power. Adam says that it's not that she isn't capable, but that it is part of woman's punishment because of Eve. Then he said we would talk about it some other time and have a nice conversation, not over the phone. And it doesn't seem fair.
But also read today that while God is just, he is not necessarily a fair God. So...what to make of that?
I've been a Christian all of two days and I'm already having issues. *sigh* Lots of prayer I suppose.
