"something's wrong" she said, leaning out her window to say good night to the city. rain starts to fall on the wooden pane as she grabs her arms and shivers. It's the spring chill she's been longing for all winter. And now, with the white curtains moving in the night's breeze, she stares down at the street below. An argument between lovers is a sad sight to see on such a night, she thinks. She's ready not to feel so alone. Her phone sounds an unfamiliar ring but she doesnt sprint to it. She just sits quietly waiting, almost praying those two would just make up. the curtains start to wrap around her soft golden legs, her toes pointing at the stars. It's been awhile since you could see right up to the sky in this town she thought. A large gust of wind blows the curtains above her and knocks off a picture in a glass frame. It's okay though. She's long forgotten about the face between the glass. She imagines that the picture of her has fallen off the bedside table of someone else long ago. she's sure being up in this tall apartment building has made her invisible. "You coming to bed?" a voice in the shadowy sheets asks. "In a minute." she answers, curling her toes.
