Talked to the guy from Sincerely Calvin. I told him I put one of his songs on a mix tape for my friend. and he apologized and laughed. I thought it was really cool. he asked what was in my cd player right now. and I said bob dylan. though...he smokes. but has a lovely handshake. and does it with two hands at the end of the conversation like he's really stoked. I did my nervous head scratch a lot and looked at my shoes.
Life is all about waiting ya know? we wait for tomorrow when the day is almost done. we wait for a kiss at the end of the night that most likely wont come. we wait for a phone call. we wait for doorbells and answers. we wait for tones and breaks. we wait for sleep. and events. weddings. second chances. first chances. we wait for growing old. 16. 18. 21. 30. 40. 50. we wait for seasons. we wait for many things.
but if we werent waiting...then we really wouldnt be doing much of anything.
I'm so worn out. I'm back into the "school rut" kinda of feeling. and I dont like it. I blame it on a lot of bad things that have happened to me.
In the middle of the show tonight I remembered that it's coming up soon. and I felt my body run slightly colder. my foot stopped tapping and I got really scared.
If I hear Old Time Rock and Roll one more fuckin time today I'm smashing my radio.
