Be forewarned, this is simply another rant, and not necessarily in the same humor that my J.K. Rowling mockery was.

"You think so differently"
"Sorry, I just don't see it the way you do"
"You'll never change"
"I don't understand why you think that way"

Yea. I get it. I know I view things a little differently. Apologies for looking at life without emotions. Not to say I'm emotionless, but I just understand that emotions are the most biased and fallible of factors when it comes to everything from arguments to philosophies of life. I'm sorry that I don't succumb to the standard culturalization that society has led you to believe are the "way things should be." I chose to question everything, and I'm sorry you haven't. I've refused to be a tool, because that's what I've been most of my life. I was a tool to my religious fanatics of parents. I've been a tool to the failed education system. I've been a tool to drugs. I've been a tool to alcoholism. I've been a tool to Camel Wides and Djarum Blacks. My whole life I've been a tool to society and culture. I chose not to be anymore.

I'm a firm believer in splitting the bill on a date unless one or the other decides to be an extra treat. There should be no moral obligation on the male to pay for everything, to drive, for anything. I don't believe it's the responsibility of the male to completely take care of anniversaries. Why is it the duty of the male to buy something every month simply to get a "woo" out of his courtship?

And yes, I say courtship. Why? Because I've gotten a dose of reality. You're not gonna like what I have to say...but we're animals. No more, no less. We've simply developed the capability of free will. So, in lieu of this supposed "sophistication" we've decided to cover up our animalistic urges for sex and reproduction with something called "love." Here's a fact for you dying romantics: there's this nice chemical called dopamine released in your brain when looking at a potential lover. This stimulates a minor effect similar to cocaine, which is why people are so happy and prone to irrationality when "in love." I'm sorry to burst your bubble but love isn't this "divine force" that brings two people "destined for each other" into a relationship. It's a chemical released in your brain when it recognizes and attractive, suitable mate for raising children.

Call me cynical? I don't care. I call myself a realist. Depressing as it may be, sorry. Welcome to reality.

Religion. Ha, oh the fun one. I'm right, you're wrong. Believe me or (insert afterlife punishment here). Great. "God" in separate forms and religions has caused more wars, genocides, and malicious acts than other other dispute between human beings. You know, I don't care. You have an absolute right to believe whatever you want to believe. Don't shove it down my throat. And better yet, before you devote yourself to a religion, question it. Don't be a Christian because your parents told you that you are. Don't be a Muslim because you've been told to be. Find every single fallacy in that doctrine and THEN choose. You'll find religion is simply another tool used to control society. Here's these list of things you cannot do or ELSE. Ah, convincing. If you break any of these commandments, God is going to send you to a place of eternal fire and brimstone and torture and suffering and darkness and demons where you'll never escape and never have a chance at redemption for all eternity.....but he loves you, and made all the rules, and everything in existence.

No one cares about fashion. Or gossip. Or Britney's babies. Or designer clothes. Or reality TV. Or what Oprah has to tell every unstable, lost housewife.

Scratch that. No one should care. But they do. They'd rather have InTouch magazine tell them what's important in their lives. They'd rather read about Britney's babies than properly raising their own from different fathers. They care more about expensive fashion and brand names that about feeding said children. Reality TV is all exactly the same, and is far from "reality." They care more about the next book Oprah is going to tell them they need to read. That hypocritical bitch wouldn't know sense if it punched her ovaries. This is a woman who claims to be a humanitarian because she's opened ONE school in a third-world country. Wow Oprah, a big sacrifice in comparison to your 9 multi-million dollar mansions, multi-billion dollar bank account, and buying your entire audience each a Grand Prix. You're so dedicated to a cause. And people actually listen to her. I get to see Oprah's Army of identityless woman run in like a herd or morons to snatch every copy of the latest book she's endorsing.

"I'm Republican, I hate you Democrat"
"I'm Democrat, I hate you Republican"

Wow, fantastic. You've created a blind hatred of parties similar to the Holocaust or genocide in Darfur. Hating each other for absolutely no reason than belonging to another party. I had some idiot come up to me when I handed him a Ron Paul brochure to say "I don't care if it was Jesus Christ himself, I don't vote Republican." That's the problem. People are so blind in what their parents or society has told them to believe they'd rather align with what they know rather than what they know to be right. That's just pathetic. But politics are a whole other rant.

In short, my message is this: think for yourself. Don't align yourself with anything except your own ideals, of which I beg of you to contemplate logically. Think without bias, think without personal emotions, think without the ideas that have been drilled into your head since you were born. Drugs are bad. Males should completely take care of dates, anniversaries, and everything else. Love is a divine beautiful force that causes people to write poetry and make touching generic movies. Oprah knows what she's talking about. You're a Republican. You're a Democrat. Bush was a bad president so I'll never vote for that party again. You're a Christian. You're a Muslim.

You are none of these things. None of these things are you, and none of these things are true. If you are indeed made of flesh and blood, develop yourself. You're character. Find what really matters in life. Live without fear of being an outcast. Live without the pressures of being popular. Live without the pressure of being accepted by your family, your peers, the religious/political organization you were brought up with. Roses and chocolate shouldn't make you happy. Poetry shouldn't make you happy. Spending time or having a good conversation with the person you care about should mean everything. Anyone can buy you these things and steal a few lines from a cheesy poetry book. No one can speak with the eloquence of the one you care for.  Find what it truly means to live and fuck your khakis. Fuck your bank account. Fuck your Hollister/Abercrombie/AE clothing. They mean nothing. Fuck your degree and your job. Fuck Starbucks and your new, hip, pseudo-intellectual style. Find yourself and stop letting these things tell you who you are.

Be fair. Be logical. And I might just grant you the title of human being.

"Whenever you are on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."
