I can't believe it's taken me a year to notice that Julian Ross of Lunca Ilvei, Romania, now has a
blog.
Julian is a British engineer who left his job designing London tube stations to start a bed and breakfast and horseback riding centre in a Transylvanian mountain village. I visited him in the summer of 2002 and again in the spring of 2005. Lunca Ilvei is a fascinating place, where people still farm with horse-drawn implements and depend on the surrounding forests and alpine pastures for a living. Now I can get updates every few days.
Julian's a natural storyteller with a marvellous, British sense of humour. Check out some of his posts.
