And so we weep once again fo the struggle of the car salesman...

...Weep...

Alright, that's enough of that. Alyssa's getting a car. It's gonna be brand friggin new! She's having it made specially for her starting next month. It's not an Acura though, as we originally planned on getting. There were a few problems with the TL.

#1) Because we were looking at the previous body style, we were also looking for the S-type, which is apparently very difficult to get exactly how you want it because they don't stay at the dealership very long when they do get them in.
#2) It would have to be used because the new ones are a little too expensive, so it wouldn't have a full warranty.
#3) The resale value of the TL is apparently pretty bad seeing as how the previous body style which is only 2 years old, is going for
$10,000 less than a new one, which is nice for buying, but we don't want to be in the same situation as we are now with the Kia.
#4) The dealership felt like a dealership. The salesman we dealt with was using all his tricks to get us to stick around, consider what
what few options they did have, and then once we decided to leave, he did his best to convince us that he was working on a solution
for us, and that we should check back in with him next week. I was suprised that he went to such lengths for us, but then again, it
was raining.
#5) The older body style is not nearly as nice as the new one, and the new one is just to popular.
#6) We could have gotten exactly what we wanted if we were willing to take one with White ext. and black int. This is no ordinary black
interior. It was the finer kind of leather, that tends to really pick up on polish, and just shines like a friggin mirror, but on
top of that it was absolutely JET BLACK! Not like most black leather you see that's almost black but not quite. This was black.
EWWWWW!!!
#7) The Mini dealership right next door was a thousand times nicer. In fact, I even felt rude a couple of times for being suspicious of
just about everything they said, to the point of being rude, and they were nothing but kind and honest to me. Well, I guess the
best way to say sorry is to buy a car. Which is what she's gonna do.

I have to say the Mini is pretty bad ass. I've always kinda thought that, but never actually drove one until now. She's getting it in black, with a white top, and automatic tranny, heated seats, etc. It's nice. Oh, and it's not the standard one. It's the S. I was actually going to try to drive the manual one they had after we drove the auto, but the auto was supprisingly capable. It has the sequential auto shifter like my mom's audi has, plus it's got paddle shifters. PADDLE SHIFTERS!! I was using those, and it was just cool. Alyssa just usede the straight up auto, and to my amazement, the thing actually liked staying in gear. It didn't upshift constantly to improve mileage. Instead it stayed in gear so you wouldn't have to deal with any lag when you need to step on it. It did have a little bit of lag in the lower rpm's but I don't think I'll have any problem keeping it in it's proper gear. Oh, and Alyssa and I decided she should order the special 2-seater edition, where the rear seats are permanently folded down. So no back seat. Sorry!!
