A Reasoning Human:
- knows and appreciates the power of art. Whether it's visual, literary, or auditory, art is an incredible medium and should be respected and revered as such.
- is internally consistent. S/he has a clear, if not definable, set of values and beliefs, and strives to live wholly in accordance with them. Among these values:
Trustworthyness. Within his power, one must be able to be trusted with the truth, must be truthful unless there is a just reason not to be, and must seek and recognize truth as the base of all knowledge and reason.
Responsibility. Within his power, one must be able to keep promises and accomplish tasks set for him, both by himself and others, or accomplish an equivalent alternative. When given a task, one must evaluate both the task and one's person in order to give accurate assessments of predictable outcomes and abilities.
Productivity. Within his power, one must strive not simply to exist, but to make everything one does an act of production. If one eats, it is to use that energy for a future task. If one spends an hour relaxing, it is an earned break and a chance to recuperate for more creation in the future. The greatest sin is waste, and the greatest waste is of the most precious material: time.
Pride. One must take, not just pride, but joy in all he is and does. One's actions, appearance, and statements all reflect on who one is and what one values, which are two sides of the same. Lack of pride leads to shame, which is a sing of a lack of internal consistency.
(There's more, but I haven't written it yet.)
