I love this transcript of a Nicky Campbell interview with Will Self and Richard Littlejohn. If politicians had this sort of exchange on the radio we'd respect them more and turn out to vote for them. Of course they don't want to get into polarised positions. But the alternative is to just argue about who would be better about negotiating GPs contracts and agreeing that it is important to give sitting MPs ever more money to keep bombarding their constituents with spam.
I find it rather curious that Will Self has Deborah Orr as a partner. They seem to write every word in the whole of the Saturday Independent magazine some weeks, but Deborah is careful not to refer to Will by name.
