Graduated!

Jun 25, 2009 03:53

like, a week ago :P But my parents just left after a jam-packed stay, so i've now got internet time to spam you with a few pics :)

Yay, it''s over! I had chicken pox (agh!) about 3 weeks before, so I'm all scarred up now. I wore make-up for graduation so I looked oily after sweltering in the hall :(

Parents! And a bit of my grad outfit, which was an epic ordeal in itself (the dress mommy made was too big, went looking for one for hours - i'm far too picky-  in the end, grabbed a shirt to go with the skirt part of the dress, voila!) Unfortunately, I don't have any proper pics of it, sister was in charge of the camera for the day :(

Limping! My feet slid all the way forward in my peep-toes and I almost lost my left shoe three times, once going up the stairs to greet the Chancellor (who my mom says is 'a dirty, dirty old man'). Also, back of dress! the front doesn't have the hanging cloth/ties.

New friend, Yangzhi! I sat next to her for the ceremony. With 600 people graduating from my college alone I didn't really see anyone I knew. She was cool though, we kept cracking jokes in our seats and posing for her dad to get shots of us from the bacony :)

Then I did the same thing again the next day! My aunt recieved an honourary doctorate from UofT for all her work, which is of course very cool :) She had a big party last weekend too and there are a few pics of that, once I get a hold of it.  All in all, I don't really feel like a graduate yet. I think it'll set in when I'm not registering in August or running up 3 flights in MedSci cuz I'm late for class :) As it is, I'm enjoying the break I'm taking for everything, and will worry about the next step in a few weeks. I need a job when I get back, but god - I'm tired. I'll miss having class with all the great people I've met ( sakurak  and lelola - hi!) but I'll see them outside of the classroom, which'll also be very cool.

graduation!
