Aww, nice. :)

(Is that Carson Beckett in your header? My husband and daughter met him last month at Chicago's Wizard World Comic Con...daughter is in love.) :D

Thank you!

And yes, it is indeed Carson! And Janet Fraiser, taken at the SG11 (I think?) con in London a few years ago... long story short behind it, Teryl and Paul had been on stage together at SG8 a few years previous, I got a plot bunny and wrote it and then wrote more, and converted a few people who were also at that con and somehow though I don't know how, that ended up happening!!!

Your daughter has very good taste - he's lovely!

Aw, that's sweet. :)

Yeah, the husband and daughter watch a couple of SGA eps every weekend...it's their "thing." (They're halfway through season 4, so this Christmas I'll start buying them the SG1 DVDs.) I posted a few pics of their meeting with Paul McGillion, but it's f-locked. If you don't mind, I'd like to friend you anyway...so I'll do that now and give you the link.

Friend away! I shall make sure to friend you back! Checked out those pictures and they are awesome - I know exactly how your daughter feels and it's always great to meet someone you're a huge fan of!

I met Paul for the first time at the SG8 con, and during the photo session they had, one of my friends who is the biggest fan of his, couldn't afford a photo ticket for it, so I bought her one. She was so nervous going up (heart going a mile a minute, just like your daughter!) that I went first and did my usual "May I have a hug please?" thing, and when I was hopping out to let M in, I said to Paul, "And will you hug the next girl too please, because she's too nervous to ask herself." Well, he gave her the biggest hug, which made her go scarlet, and when the pic was taken, he goes "Wait, wait, where's your friend?" He promptly called me over, got a picture taken with the two of us and told us to make sure we got two copies of that one and that it was on him. He is adorable!

Awww...what a sweet story (and man!)

I must admit that I do enjoy watching SGA as they work through the DVDs...I bet if I had watched it when it first aired (and had been active on LJ), I would've fallen deeply into the fandom. :)
