FASHION MONSTER!!! fuck yeah!
I found out by chance that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu released a new PV named Fashion Monster. Yesterday night I was wandering around on youtube watching some jpop videos that I had missed in the last weeks due to my work and study (as always I have been so busy) and I also discover a very interesting and funny Jrock band called Golden Bomber.
But let's go first for Fashion Monster new single. Actually it is not that new because it was released on October but I missed it :/ so for me is new.
The first thing that I thought was… OMGGGGG ASDSDSADDF *Fangirlsm overload* Oh yeah. it has been long time since I didn't feel that 'fangirl' feeling of 'asdsadf' and you know what I mean.
I had love Kyary since her first single, her concept fascinated me and still does. I'm aware that she is a 'product' of a music label, I know this guy Yasutaka Nakata compose her music and probably direct her entire visual concept in every video but I can see that she is really like that, I mean that she is not faking her image of weirdness. I consider that she is a truly weirdo xD and that's why I love her.
I have always like music that shows a different point of view, not necessary with deep complicated lyrics but signers and composers that step outside of the 'popular' staff and jump out with different experiment.
Kyary is one of those experiments that's ended up being extremely well accepted by the Japanese audience and as far as I can see in many other audiences in the world. I don't think Kyary is aiming for US market and I REALLY HOPE that she won't become in a mainstream product in order to 'fit' in an international market.
Because that's what happen to many Japanese and Korean groups that 'tries' hard to fit in US market and ended up creating the same american crap music. Let's pray the gods for Kyary not becoming in another Lady Gaga… yeah a lot of people keep comparing them both but hey! their concepts are to way different: 'weird' doesn't mean equal.
