1. Language pet peeve: "weary" instead of "wary." Were you TIRED of using that combination of spices? No! You were UNCERTAIN. WARY. God, that one drives me nuts.

2. In semi-lieu of actual content: PANDAS! So many pandas. If it didn't have kind of icky connotations I'd say PANDAGASM.

OMIGOSH!!!!!!

This is clearly how China intends to take over the world.

They won't need bombs. They'll just unleash dozens of fluffy little panda babies AND THE WHOLE WORLD WILL SIMPLY DIE OF TEH CUTE!!!!

Also, one of my favorite uses for okra (and it's especially great when you've got LOTS of it) is good ol' basic stewed okra and tomatoes.

Pot, chopped okra, crushed tomatoes, some onion, some salt, let it all cook down. MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm, I could eat GALLONS of it!

That's pretty similar to that recipe I found, and sounds pretty good. Yum, garlic.

Yeah, that's basically what the linked recipe is, with indian spices. I'm kind of hoping someone pops in and says "sautee!" or something.

True. But then again, if an old standard is that good, why change? It's kinda like when you go to a restaurant and get the exact same thing every time. Sure, the other stuff may be good, but it also might not. On the other hand, fettuccine alfredo (or whatever) is always good, and you KNOW you love it, so why rock the boat?

(I have that dilemma all the time. Especially since I so rarely eat out anymore. New, possibly risky, taste adventure? Or proven reliable favorite?)

Of course, with my current dietary restrictions I can't have okra at all. Or tomatoes. Or indian spices. Or, frankly, ANY spices.

So thinking about it is probably a bad idea.
