Okay, apologies to those members of the cabinet to whom I just emailed this, but. BUT. helenish emailed this link to an amazing preview for this week's SGA, and there are THREE OBSERVATIONS and ONE SPECULATION that I would like to make
OBSERVATIONS:
First, it is so incredibly fucking weird to hear him called JOHN so much.
Second, I love how he talks to his BROTHER the same way he talks to some space enemy who got the drop on him.
THIRDDD, Graham totally looks like a TERMINATOR.
SPECULATION: Are we going to find out that John didn't want to join the family business and he and dad had a huge fight and John ran away to Stanford I mean the AIR FORCE? JOHN SHEPPARD = SAMMY WINCHESTER????
Okay, and THAT speculation leads me to some more AWESOME THEORIES ABOUT JOHN SHEPPARD'S BACKSTORY:
1. John didn't WANT to join the family business because the family business is a funeral home and he didn't want his life to be Six Feet Under!
2. John didn't want to join the family business because the family business is THE FAMILY BUSINESS, and he didn't want his live to be THE SOPRANOS!
3. JOHN JUST WANTED TO BE A LAWYER, OKAY, BUT DAD ALWAYS CALLED LAWYERS "VAMPIRES" WHILE THEY WERE GROWING UP, AND HE JUST COULDN'T LIVE IN THAT KIND OF AN OPPRESSIVE ENVIRONMENT. SOMETHING SOMETHING ENDED UP IN THE AIR FORCE INSTEAD.
4. John got kicked out of his private prep school for being gayyyyyyyy, and his family didn't know what to doooooo, and there are more parallels to Family Album and maybe his boyfriend DID tragically die in a car crash, and, faced with his father's crushing inability to nurture, John ran away to be a pilot!
5. Graham is a terminator.
