So all this week Quentin Tarantino has been filming Grind House at this breakfast place at the south end of my hood. Which, you know, I'm not that into QT actually so it's not that exciting for me, though it does explain why my friend saw Kurt Russell at Magnolia Lake Austin a couple of weeks ago. But it is cool that QT and Robert Rodriguez and Linkater and Mike Judge (Office Space, Idiocracy) always film around here, and just like when The Wendell Baker Story was filming in Hyde Park, there's a bunch of people just hanging out watching, like, Hey, what are you guys going to do tonight? Wanna go watch the movie film? Okay!

So anyway there's this big billboard above the Omelettry about "Jungle Julia," who is played by, wait for it, Miss Dent!

I admit: The payoff to that leadup was minimal. Well, I'm sorry.
